Wearable Concepts were approached by an innovative software company to help deploy customised NFC enabled wristbands for the global premier events of the DC Comics Wonder Women movie. We were able to design, prototype and manufacture a really eye catching product which met the client brief and their tight delivery deadlines.
During the first quarter of 2017 Wearable Concepts has been working closely with a talented group of post graduate students studying Brand Leadership at the UEA under the mentorship of Wolff Olins, London. During this exciting time the new brand for our Graphene and Nano solutions, namely HEXU™ emerged which will be launched later this year.
Wearable Concepts are proud to be working with international OEM's in developing new functional and protective solutions, composites and coatings for smartphones, wearables and mobile devices ranging from HEXU™ composites to glass nano-coatings for screen protectors.
During 2016 as part of our commitment to low carbon research and to forge closer ties with our colleagues at Adapt and the university Wearable Concepts became a tenant of the UEA Enterprise Centre. The Enterprise Centre will be Britain's greenest building and one of the most sustainable buildings in Europe. We invite you to visit us and explore their vision to form an exciting, dynamic, and collaborative workplace.
To extend our reach Wearable Concepts is now a member at Google Campus, London which brings us closer to fellow bright startups, mentors and exciting innovators in our capital. With free Wi-Fi, an infectious energy, and lots of fellow founders, the Campus is a great place to get things done or collaborate with like-minded people. We look forward to meeting with you at our new London venue.
In December 2015 Wearable Concepts became a Virgin Start-up. Championed by Richard Branson Virgin StartUp is a not-for-profit organisation that helps entrepreneurs in England with the funding, resources and advice they’ll need to make their business idea a reality. We are proud to be associated with Virgin Start-Up and their mission.
On June 26th 2016 Wearable Concepts was acknowledged as a Future50 Business by the judging panel. Future50 is an exciting new business growth programme that's designed to recognise Norfolk and Suffolk's most innovative companies. Future50 members will be the individuals and companies that will be creating jobs, growing at a faster rate than others and that have the drive and ambition needed to be leaders in their sector. We're thrilled to be a member of the 2016 alumni.
